The jury meeting for the Federal Ecodesign Award took place at the end of September. In the 10th year of the award presented by the IDZ, 25 nominees were honoured for their outstanding design of sustainable products and services.

With our submission, the world's smallest and lightest sewage lifting unit Wilo-DrainLift SANI-S, we made it to the second selection round after all. For example, the especially progressive design as well as the high user-friendliness (also in comparison to other lifting units) were positively highlighted. The design was consistently rated as successful due to the clearly marked touchpoints, well-structured volumes as well as a comprehensible choice of materials.

After an exhibition lasting several days at the feldfünf offices, the exhibit will remain in our office until the next award, where it can be examined by the entire team and all visitors. We congratulate all the nominees of the Federal Ecodesign Award 2021 and wish them continued success on their way to a sustainable future!

Katarzyna completed her Bachelor's degree in Krakow and is now studying for a Master's degree in Eco-Innovative Design at the @FH Joanneum in Graz. For the next six months, she will accompany us in our project work and thus get to know the everyday working life of a design agency.

We welcome her warmly and look forward to working with her in our studio in Berlin!

As part of the 10th anniversary of the Bundespreis Ecodesign | German Ecodesign Award, a culinary event organised by the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) took place yesterday evening with members of Querfeld and RESTLOS GLÜCKLICH around the theme of "avoiding food waste".

As participants, we had the opportunity to support the teams in the preparation of the culinary creations and then to exchange ideas about the topic during the tasting.
And along the way, we were allowed to take a look at the total of 94 interesting exhibits (among which was one of ours) that had been judged as entries for the Federal Ecodesign Award a week earlier.

So the whole thing was not only delicious and sustainable, but also educational!
